What is not included?
Our prepaid direct cremation plan means there is no service at the crematorium, so there are certain things that are never included in this style of service.
- The use of a hearse or limousine
- Flowers or tributes (family are free to send us items to place in the coffin)
- Collection from outside of mainland Great Britain or within the Scottish Highlands or Islands
- Choice of crematorium or cremation time (we will let the family know the date and time of the cremation)
- A ceremony at the crematorium or mourners attending the committal

Instalment plans include an instalment charge of 4% of the total cost per year to help keep up with inflation.
If you choose an instalment plan, you can pay a deposit, pay your plan off or switch plans any time - simply give us a call.
Protection straight away with our monthly instalment option
With our instalment plans, you'll be covered straight away for accidental death.
Then after 2 years, you'll be completely covered, even if you haven't finished paying for your plan.
This means if you die before your plan is fully paid, we'll provide your funeral and won't ask your family to pay anything more.
Is a prepaid direct cremation plan right for you?
Choosing between buying a plan or waiting until the time of need
A direct cremation can be arranged with us when someone dies, even if there is no plan in place. The price for this is currently £1,590 if someone has passed away at home and the ashes are to be returned to a loved one. However, without a plan in place, the price for our service at the time of need may change at any time.
This compared to our prepaid plan, which is £1,650 if paid in full. It covers you for everything you would need for our direct cremation service, so family would have nothing more to pay.
Once paid, it is fixed and guaranteed no matter how high funeral prices rise in the future.
Other important information about our prepaid direct cremation plan
What if we go out of business?
Your money is paid into a secure trust which is completely
separate from our business. In the unlikely event that we go
out of business, a suitable replacement provider will take
over the funeral plan contracts. If that is not possible then
you will be refunded an amount equivalent to purchase a
replacement plan on terms corresponding to this one. Your money is additionally backed up and guaranteed by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
What if I change my mind?
We provide a 30 day full money back guarantee, so if you change your mind within 30 days of purchase, you will be refunded in full. Cancellation after this time will result in a refund of all monies paid less a cancellation fee of £150.
Are there any age restrictions?
You must be over 18 to purchase a plan. There is no upper age limit if you decide to pay in full or by monthly instalment up to 2 years. If you want to pay by instalment over either 3, 4 or 5 years, then the person who the plan is for must be 80 or younger by the time the instalment plan finishes.
Which payment methods do we accept?
You can pay in full via cheque by posting back our application form. You can also pay in full via debit/credit card here on our website or over the phone by calling us.
If you prefer to pay with a monthly instalment plan, this will be via direct debit each month and you can apply by posting back our application form, order here on our website or simply by calling us.
Can I set up a joint plan?
Our plan is even more flexible than this, as it gives you the ability to change who the plan is for at any time, even if they have passed away. You choose 1 person to be named as the beneficiary of the plan, but if someone else dies first, then you can use the plan for them instead.
What documents will I receive?
After purchasing a plan with us, you will receive all documents in the post within 5 working days. We can even send a copy to your next of kin. You'll receive; a welcome letter, funeral plan summary, plan certificate with your unique plan number, 2 x plastic cards with your plan number and our contact details and full terms and conditions as well as other useful information.
What areas are covered?
Our plan covers you across all of mainland Great Britain, excluding the Scottish Highlands and Islands. If a death occurs outside of this area we may still be able to help but there may be extra costs involved. If we're unable to help, the family may need to organise for the deceased to be repatriated to within the covered area, or a refund less any relevant fees can be provided to the estate so that a cremation can be arranged in the area where the death occurred.
